1.74.010 Tortious conduct of state – Presentment and filing of claim prerequisite to suit.

No action shall be commenced against the city for damages arising out of tortious conduct until a claim has first been presented to and filed with the finance director of the city of Hoquiam. The requirements of this section shall not affect the applicable period of limitations within which an action must be commenced, but such period shall begin and shall continue to run as if no claim were required.
