My name is Aaron Shumate and I have lived in Hoquiam for over 24 years. I am a local business owner, previously served in the military and I am raising my young family here.

My main goal as a councilmember is to help Hoquiam become a cleaner, safer place to live with a strong economy. I look forward to serving on the council and serving the citizens of Hoquiam.

I have been on the council for the past 21 years. I've lived in Hoquiam for over 52 years and have raised three children and now have 8 grand children.

I lost my wife of 49 years to cancer in 2001. I enjoy serving as a councilmember for the citizens of Hoquiam
