As Fire Chief of the Hoquiam Fire Department I want to take this opportunity to join the many citizens who have already extended their thanks to Retired Chief Ray Pumphrey for his many years of service.

The goal of the Hoquiam Fire Department is to provide our citizens with the highest degree of life safety and property protection. We will accomplish this through the extension of fire prevention programs, aggressive fire suppression measures and advanced life support and emergency medical services.

I would also like to thank the Citizens of Hoquiam for your support and cooperation. It is with your help that we were able to maintain staffing levels and upgrade apparatus, equipment and facilities. These improvements allow us to continue the high level of service that our citizens, deservingly, have come to expect.
