Reconstruction of the roadway including:

• Structural support of the roadway

• Upgrading drainage culverts

• Installation of new guardrail

The Problem

Roadway failure due to subsurface geologic failure including:

• Broadway Avenue is sliding toward the river due to erosion at the toe of slope

• Key route to Woodlawn neighborhood and Hoquiam Plywood Co. facing road closure

The Project

• Current Status: design phase and permitting

The Impact

The project intends to:

• Reconstruct and support the failing roadway
