The Hoquiam Finance Department is committed to providing the highest levels of financial services to the public and user departments. This includes insuring that proper controls and procedures are in place to manage and protect the public’s resources.

We regularly evaluate and balance our service levels, customer needs, efficiency and available resources. These goals are accomplished through staff training, promoting teamwork and by providing employees with a challenging and fulfilling work environment.

Senior Citizen Low-income Discount

Low-income Hoquiam residents aged sixty-five and older may apply to receive a low-income senior citizen discount on your utility bill. To qualify your total household income for the year must fall at or below $30,000. To apply please fill out this form, with income verification for all people living in your household and return it into the finance department.

To continue receiving the discount applicants must re-apply on an annual basis between January 1st and January 31st.

Income Level	Percent Discount
$0 - $20,000	25%
$20,001-$25,000	20%
$25,001-$30,000	15%

Examples of acceptable income verification may include income tax return, SSI award letter or a L&I pension verification letter.
