OUTDOOR BURN BAN
Hoquiam, WA – Effective 12:01 A.M., July 24th, 2026. With the continued trend of warm and dry weather and increased fire danger, and in conjunction with Grays Harbor County and neighboring cities, the City of Hoquiam is enacting restrictions on all outdoor burning in the City of Hoquiam until conditions moderate.
All wood and charcoal burning, including recreational campfires and wood and charcoal burning smokers and barbeques are prohibited until further notice.
The use of natural and propane gas burning self-contained camping stoves; natural and propane gas burning portable and permanent fire pits; natural, propane, electric and wood pellet burning smokers and barbeques are permitted.
Permitted:
· Natural and propane gas burning camping stoves and fire pits.
· Natural and propane gas burning smokers and barbeques.
· Electric and wood pellet burning smokers and barbeques.
Prohibited:
· Wood recreational campfires.
· Wood smokers and barbeques.
· Charcoal smokers and barbeques.
